Join the Mid-America Regional Crime Analysis Network!

Your agency is invited to join the Mid-America Regional Crime Analysis Network.  MARCAN is an association of law enforcement professionals who have joined together to enhance criminal information sharing and crime analysis training opportunities for its members.  MARCAN was formed under the by-laws of the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) and has as its goal to provide guidance, assistance, and training to local, state and federal agencies in the area of crime and intelligence analysis.  Toward this goal, MARCAN advocates the highest professional standards in fostering a cooperative crime analysis network to assist the exchange of criminal information.  We also provide crime analysis related training at every meeting and assist agencies in the research and development phase of implementing a crime analysis unit.

You and/or your department's representatives are cordially invited to attend our next scheduled meeting to assess for yourself the value of MARCAN membership.  MARCAN meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month in conjunction with the Metro Area Intelligence Meeting.  The Intelligence meeting normally begins at 10:00 a.m. followed immediately by the MARCAN meeting.  The meeting location usually alternates between two locations every other month.   Please check our meeting or training calendar for the location of the next meeting or training.

MARCAN memberships are open to any local, state, or federal law enforcement employee.  The most appropriate agency member is the individual(s) responsible for performing crime analysis related functions, whether on a formal or informal basis. A membership application is available on this website. Membership dues are $35 the first year (and $30 every year after that) and includes membership to the International Association of Crime Analysts.
